ABSTRACT
in general, the people of Dumai City use drilled wells and dug wells to meet their water needs. However, there is a decrease in water sources, resulting in an increase in the need for clean water. The Dumai City Government is still working on the construction of SPAM to solve the problem of meeting the needs of clean water. Utilization of the Mesjid River is an alternative solution. The condition of the quantity of water discharge for the Mesjid River is fluctuating where there are differences between the rainy season and the dry season due to activities such as settlements, shipping, industry, and ports. Therefore, a study was conducted to determine the potential of the Dumai City Watershed so that it can be managed appropriately and sustainably. Diversion is a process of transforming rainwater changes into the required flow according to the provisions and using modeling. One form of modeling used in this research is the Rainrun and Mock model using 4 schemes. The results showed that the R value in both models resulted in very low criteria for calibration, the CE value had criteria with quite efficient optimization with data ranging from 0.361 to 0.487 at F.J. Mock and the data range is 0.479 – 0.505 for Rainrun, and the NSE value is in the satisfactory category with a value range of 0.513 – 0.639 for F.J. Mock and data range 0.495 – 0.521 for Rainrun
