Evaluasi Kerusakan Jalan Pemuda Kota Pekanbaru Dengan Metode Pavement Condition Index (Pci)

ABSTRACT
Pemuda’s Road in Pekanbaru city is a collector road that connects the activity centers
of Pekanbaru that has length about 2.235 meters and width about 6 meters. The purpose of
this research were to determine the types of the damage, and find the index value of the
flexible pavement condition on Pemuda’s road by using the Pavement Condition Index (PCI)
method. This research was conducted into 5 segments and each of those were divided into
447 meters per segment.
The result of this research shows that the damage of Pemuda’s Road were potholes,
raveling, alligator cracks, longitudinal cracks, edge cracking, slippage cracks. The average
index value score of Pemuda’s Road is 27 that means the condition is poor, so it needs some
serious handling and maintenance from government to make a repair so it would not make
more worse damage.
