ABSTRACT
One of the activities in Indonesia that can generate national economic activities both as a provider of employment, as well as increasing people's income is tourism activities. Indragiri Hilir is one of the regencies in Riau Province which has unspoiled tourist attractions. Determining tourist attractions is not as easy as imagined, every tourist has different characteristics and different needs in determining tourist attractions. The purpose of this study was to create a decision support system for tourist places recommendation in Indragiri Hilir using the VIKOR method. The VIKOR method is based on ranking and selecting from a set of alternatives, it can be used to rank many criteria, both qualitative and quantitative. The alternatives used in this study were 12 tourist attractions, using seven criterias based on the Decree of the Minister of Tourism, Post and Telecommunications Number: KM.5/UM.209/MPPT-89 regarding the implementation of Sapta Pesona which consists of security, order, cleanliness, coolness, beauty, friendliness, and memories. The results of calculations using the VIKOR method with v = 0.5, obtained alternative 1 (Waterfall 86) was ranked first with a Qi value of 0.014 and alternative 7 (Lake Air Luwit) was ranked last with a Qi value of 1.
