Perbandingan Kekuatan – Kekuatan Politik Dalam Kontestasi Pemilihan Bupati Dan Wakil Bupati Karimun Tahun 2020

ABSTRACT
In the event of Karimun Regent and Vice Regent Election in 2020, there was uniqueness where the incumbent pair namely Dr. H. Aunur Rafiq, S.Sos., M.Si – H. Anwar Hasyim, M.Si supported by “fat” coalition and big campaign fund could not dominate the vote acquisition and almost defeated by the challenger pair namely Iskandarsyah – Drs. H. Anwar, M.Si., MMP supported by “thin” coalition and far smaller campaign fund compared to the incumbent with difference only 86 votes.
The theory employed in this research was political power theory. This research employed qualitative method with data collection techniques were through interview and documentation. The data sources were obtained from research informants, mass media, and documents. To elaborate the problem in this research, interactive model of qualitative data analysis method was employed namely by describing it into data collection stage, data reduction, data presentation, and taking conclusion.
The result of this research showed that the contest of Karimun Regent and Vice Regent Election in 2020 was won by the incumbent pair with difference only 86 votes compared to the challenger pair. This is not apart from the role of each political power owned by each candidate pairs. The most fundamental difference of the two candidates of Karimun Regent and Vice Regent in 2020 was that pair Dr. H. Aunur Rafiq, S.Sos., M.Si – H. Anwar Hasyim, M.Si had four political powers namely LSM, political parties, mass media, and entrepreneurs group. While pair Iskandarsyah – Drs. H. Anwar, M.Si, MMP had six political powers namely LSM, political parties, labor organization, mass media, survey institutions, and bureaucracy.
