Pengembangan Modul Pembelajaran Berbasis Stem Untuk Meningkatkan Minat Belajar Dan Life Skills Siswa Melalui Blanded Learning Pada Materi Teknologi Ramah Lingkungan
The development of science has an impact on the progress of education
both on the education system such as curriculum, schools, teachers and also on
student learning patterns. As time goes by, all components of education adjust the
patterns that develop for the implementation of the educational process and the
achievement of educational goals. The post-covid-19 transition era requires
educational activists (teachers) to take part in efforts to carry out online and
offline learning activities as they should. The achievement of educational goals
must be accompanied by adequate learning patterns and it’s instruments such as
the availability of learning facilities such as learning references to support the
continuity of the learning process so that learning takes place effectively, fun and
encourages students' interest in learning.
Observations conducted at SMPN 3 Rokan IV Koto, Rokan Hulu
Regency with a science teacher for class IX found an obstacle that students'
interest in learning tend are low. This leads to the understanding and application
of concepts in students' daily lives which also tend to be invisible. Lack of interest
in learning can be influenced by several complex factors such as the use of
models, methods, strategies and the availability of reference sources used by
students to achieve learning objectives, for example on environmentally
technology materials. In this material, the pattern of developing learning
instruments such as modules and the like has not been found as well as the varied
learning needs of students.
Based on these findings, an alternative step is applied to meet the needs
of students in the learning process in order to achieve learning indicators on
environmentally technology materials by developing STEM based learning
modules that focus on increasing student interest in learning and life skills with
project-based learning models. The type of research uses the Research and
development (R&D) method with the ADDIE development model by Dick and
Carry where the results of the learning module development are validated by
material expert validators, media and education practitioners, as well as the
initial stage test in the form of practicality tests and limited trials before being
applied on a big scale. In the large group scale test (implementation) using a
time-series design and the final evaluation stage of the developed learning
module.
The results showed that the STEM based learning module was very
valid where the average value was 81.16 by material expert validators, 90.97 by
media expert validators and 85.28 by education practitioners. The results of the
practicality test show that the STEM based learning module is very practical with
an average score of 90.9. The results of the pre-test and post-test N-Gain scores
indicate that the STEM based learning module is quite effective in increasing
students' interest in learning and life skills.

Based on these results, it’s concluded that the development of STEMbased
learning modules on environmentally friendly technology materials is
feasible to be applied as teaching materials to help achieve basic competencies by
taking into account the standards of development needs, reliability and feasibility.
