This research was motivated with the aim of analyzing the denotative and connotative functions and meanings of the Cecah Inai Pantun in the Tiga Lorong Indragiri Hulu Marriage Party. The data collection method carried out by the author is the recording method, the note-taking method and the interview method. The analysis technique of research is to stan- littize, clarify, describe and conclude. The data in this study amounted to 50 data, with details of the function of the rhyme for customs there were 15 data, the function of the rhyme for satire there were 7 data, the function of the rhyme for socialization and education advice contained 14 data, the function of the rhyme for religion was 5 data, the function of the rhyme to express appreciation and gratitude there are 6 data, the function of the rhyme to release longing and affection has 4 data.
