Analisis Kohesi Leksikal Dalam Novel Tentang Kamu Karya Tere Liye

The background of this research is to analyze the types and functions of lexical cohesion in Tere Liye's novel About You, the data sources used are word and phrase forms from Tere Liye's novel About You. Data collection techniques carried out by the author are documentation techniques, content review techniques and data recording techniques. The data in this study were analyzed using qualitative descriptive techniques. The descriptive analysis technique is used to describe the types and functions of lexical cohesion contained in Tere Liye's novel About You. The data of this study amounted to 198 data, with 6 types and functions of lexical cohesion. Repetition lexical cohesion is the most common type, with 100 data, synonyms with 25 data, hyponymy with 9 data, metonymy types with the least amount of data found, namely 4 data, antonymy 40 data, and collocation 20 data.
