Analisis Potensi Sampah Di Kuantan Singingi Untuk Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Sampah (Pltsa) Landfill Gas (Lfg)
ABSTRACT
Population growth that continues to increase has an impact on the high demand for electrical energy and the generation of waste that is increasingly piling up. By utilizing waste as raw material for a Waste Power Plant (PLTSa) to be one solution that can be done to overcome the problem of waste and the fulfillment of electricity supply. The abundant availability of waste makes the cost of generating fuel cheaper. The PLTSa development plan at the Muaro Sentajo Final Processing Site (TPA) in Kuantan Singingi Regency uses the sanitary landfill method. This method is done by piling organic waste into a hole that has been dug to a certain depth. Garbage that has been stockpiled will undergo an anaerobic decomposition process. The result of this process will produce methane gas and other compound gases. The methane gas is then converted into electricity using the Janbacher J320 GS gas engine. Calculation of methane gas using the U.S Environmental Protection Agency,s (EPA) model and Landfill Gas Emissions Model (LandGEM) software version 3.02. The results of the calculation analysis that have been carried out, methane gas at the Muaro Sentajo TPA reaches a value of 2.966.400 m3 in 2037. While in the last year when the PLTSa was operating it was able to produce a power of 2,78 MW. Economically, the LFG PLTSa development project at the Muaro Sentajo TPA is considered feasible. Estimated revenue receipts from electricity sales to PLN reached Rp54.080.508.868 in the last year of operation
