Perancangan Dan Simulasi Butler Matrix 4×4 Untuk Antena 5g
ABSTRACT
5G technology is urgently needed at this time to support the advancement of the telecommunication system. One of the tools needed to support this is to provide 5G technology devices such as antenna. Antenna with 5G technology is expected to have better specifications than before to provide better telecommunications services. The crucial specification in 5G technology is beamforming. The advantage of this beamforming technique is able to direct the radiation pattern beam to every user of telecommunication services directionally. One application of beamforming technique is butler matrix feeding. In this research, the design and simulation of a 4×4 butler matrix which is integrated with four antenna arrays has been successfully carried out. Butler matrix designed to work at a frequency of 38 GHz. The results that determine the design is optimal are return loss and isolation loss ≤ -10 dB, insertion loss ± 10 dB, radiation pattern beams direct at four different angles, namely -18°, -14°, 14°, 18° and gain is quite high which is approximately 8 – 10 dB.
