Analisa Performansi Raid-Z2 Sebagai Fault Tolerance System Pada Cloud Data Storage Infrastructure Menggunakan Sistem Operasi Nas4free
ABSTRACT
Cloud Storage is a metaphor for the internet, as a storage medium that is often depicted on computer network diagrams. A part from being like a cloud in a computer network diagram, cloud storage in cloud computing is also an abstraction of the complex infrastructure it hides. This cloud-based storage provides a lot of convenience, where data exchange can be carried out without limitations on time and place as long as it is connected to the internet. In addition, computer has the advantage that the stored data is more secure. However, the increasing number of people need for cloud computing makes cloud computing systems require more resources to keep the data stored safe. When there is a part of the system that is damaged, then the data must still be ensured not to be damaged as well. Therefore, a system capability emerged in the form of fault tolerance. Fault tolerance can overcome the problem of failure in the operating system caused by component damage. The damage in question is permanent damage to important components in the operating system that support the availability of data such as processors, hard drives and memory. Overcoming these problems then emerged a technology called RAID. RAID (Redundant Array of Independent Disk) is a technique for aggregating a number of hard disk device to address the increasing demand for hard disk capacity.
