Implementasi Modul Fisika Berbasis Contextual Teaching And Learning (CTL) Pada Materi Hukum Newton Untuk Meningkatkan Kemampuan Berpikir Kritis Siswa Kelas X SMA
CTL-Based Physics Module on Newton’s Law Matterial thas has been
developed as a solution to problems found through interview observations,
namely learnin that is still mostly teacher-centerde and the use of modules in
learning in high school is still rare. This study aims to determine the validity of
the CTL-based module on Newton’s Law material and its effect on increasing
student’s critical thinking skills.
This research consists of two satges, namely the first stage of developing a
CTL-based Physics module using Research and Development through the ADDIE
module approach, and the second stage of experimentation at MA AL-Ihsan
Boarding School Riau. The Module validation stage involves 3 validators 92
expert lecturers and 1 widyaiswara expert). Feasibility assesment by experts
using validation sheets. Data analysis used descriptive analysis assisted by
Microsoft Office Excel. The experimental stage is to see the effect of using the
developed module on increasing student’s critical thinking skills. Data analysis
using SPSS Statisctics 24 Software.
The Results of Module development research show that the feasibility
value by experts with an average of 0,879 is valid. This shows that the CTL-based
module produced in this study is considered feasible to be used in learning
Newton’s Law Material.
The results of the experimental research show that there is significant
effect of using CTL-based modules on student’s critical thinking skills. In the
experimental class of thinking before treatment 43,35 the low category increased
to 84 good categories after treatment. Meanwhile, in the control class, thinking
before treatment was 39,4 in the low category and increased to 74 in the good
category after treatment. This means that the experimental class has further
improved critical thinking compared to the control class.
The conclusion of this research is that the CTL-based physics module on
Newton’s law material is valid and the use of the developed module can improve
student’s critical thinking.
