Penerapan Strategi Pembelajaran PQ4R (Priview, Question, Read, Reflect, Recite, Review) Untuk Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar Sejarah Siswa Kelas XI IPS 2 SMAN 1 Benai Tahun Ajaran 2021/2022
This research is motivated by the low learning outcomes of students in learning
history in class XI IPS 2 SMA N 1 BENAI. The purpose of this study was to
determine teacher activities, student activities, and student learning outcomes in
learning history in class XI IPS 2 SMA N 1 BENAI using the PQ4R learning
strategies (Preview, Question, Read, Reflect, Recite, Review). Data collection
techniques used in this study were observation, tests, and documentation. The
results of this study indicate that the average acquisition of teacher activities based
on the results of observations of learning activities using the PQ4R model
(Preview, Question, Read, Reflect, Recite, Review) in the first cycle is 15.5%,
then increased in the second cycle by 22%. . The average student learning activity
obtained in the first cycle of the first meeting was 490, in the first cycle of the
second meeting of 355 while the first cycle of the first meeting was 490 and
increased in the second cycle of the second meeting 589. Student learning
outcomes in the first cycle were 36.7% while in the second cycle, students'
classical learning outcomes increased by 80.7%. Based on the results of this
study, it can be concluded that the application of the PQ4R learning strategies
(Preview, Question, Read, Reflect, Recite, Review) can improve student learning
outcomes in history learning in class XI IPS 2 SMA N 1 BENAI.
