Chemical bonding is a complex topic, chemical bonds can be of several types (ionic, covalent, polar and nonpolar and metallic bonds) and involve a number of concepts including molecules, atoms, protons, neutrons, electrons, ions, cations, anions, attraction opposite and repulsive charges. Based on pre-research, teachers rely on and follow textbooks in daily practice. This can be attributed to learning difficulties, misunderstandings or misconceptions. There are also problems that arise, namely students do not understand the learning material for learning molecular shapes and the polarity of covalent bonds. In fact, misunderstandings can arise both from presenting a rather limited and sometimes erroneous picture of problems related to chemical bonds and also, because the way the topic is taught is often heavily influenced by the assessment procedure. Through this multi-representation based animation video with Adobe Photoshop assisted by Microsoft PowerPoint, you can visualize the shape of atoms, ions and molecules when atoms interact to form ions to form a bond, to the interactions that occur in molecules and the resulting properties. The form of research is Research and Development. The development model used is ADDIE. The results of the validation of the media stated that it fulfilled the design aspects, pedagogic aspects, content aspects, and aspects of ease of use obtained valid categories. The results of material and media validation were found in the valid category.
