One of the three performance indicators developed by Cascio (2014) is 1) Innovative reward (reward) system, meaning that rewards given to teachers enable them to satisfy their various needs in accordance with the teacher's standard of living and in accordance with the wage standard and wages prevailing in the labor market. 2) Then the work environment, meaning the availability of a conducive work environment, including the determination of working hours, regulations that apply leadership and the physical environment. 3) Work restructuring, namely providing opportunities for teachers to get jobs and wider opportunities for self-development so as to encourage teachers to further improve their performance. Apart from the awards given by the school for the performance shown by a teacher, a teacher in carrying out their duties as teaching staff must have a spirit of responsibility or be fully responsible for the functions and work performed. This attitude of responsibility also maintains the performance of the teacher itself.
The purpose of this study was to determine the positive and significant effect of appreciation on the performance of public elementary school teachers in the Kubu District, Rokan Hilir Regency. And to find out the positive and significant influence of responsibility on the performance of public elementary school teachers in the Kubu District, Rokan Hilir Regency. In addition, this study also aims to have a positive and significant effect of appreciation and responsibility on the performance of state elementary school teachers in Kubu District, Rokan Hilir Regency.
This study uses a quantitative research method in which there are three research variables, namely two independent variables consisting of the variables of appreciation (X1), responsibility (X2) and one dependent variable of teacher performance (Y). The population in this study were all teachers of public elementary schools in the Kubu District, Rokan Hilir Regency, totaling 205 people. Determination of the number of samples is done using the Slovin formula. The sample in this study were 205 of 136 teachers. The technique used in sampling is proportional random sampling. The data collection technique used in this study was a questionnaire. Questionnaire is a data collection technique that is carried out by giving a set of written statements to respondents to answer. The questionnaire in this study consisted of statement items related to teacher awards, responsibilities and performance. The techniques used in data analysis are descriptive statistical analysis and inferential statistical analysis.
The descriptive results of the research show that the teacher performance variable is in the low category, namely 46 (33.82)%, the award variable is in the medium category, namely 46 (33.82)%, the responsibility variable is in the low category, namely 48 (35.29) )%. Based on the hypothesis test and correlation coefficient, it was found that, first, for the effect of rewards on teacher performance, the regression coefficient formed was 0.576 which means the strength of influence between awards on teacher performance was moderate.

From the calculation of the coefficient of determination obtained rx1.y = 0.759a = 0.576 or 57.6%. This means that 57.6% of the teacher performance variance can be explained by rewards through the regression equation Ȳ = 34.423 + 0.739 X1. The regression equation Ȳ = 34.423 + 0.739 X1 means that every increase of one unit of award score is followed by an increase in the teacher's performance score of 0.739 at a constant of 34.423.
Second, the second hypothesis which reads the results of the study show that for the influence that occurs in responsibility on teacher performance, the regression coefficient that is formed is equal to 0.673 which means the effect of responsibility on teacher performance is of significance with a strong category. From the calculation of the coefficient of determination obtained rx2.y = 0.821a = 0.673 or 67.3%. This means that 63.7% of the teacher performance variance can be explained by responsibility through the regression equation Ȳ = 37.819 + 0.760 X2. The equation Ȳ = 37.819 + 0.760 X2 means that every increase of one unit score of responsibility will be followed by an increase in the teacher's performance score of 0.760 at a constant of 37.819.
Third, the third hypothesis which reads the results of the study show that to know that rewards and responsibilities jointly affect teacher performance, the regression coefficient that is formed is equal to 0.723 which means that the strength of the influence of rewards and responsibilities jointly on teacher performance is strong. From the calculation of the coefficient of determination is rx1.x2.y = 0.850a = 0.723 or 72.3%. This means that 72.3% of the variance of teacher performance in the multiple regression equation can be explained by rewards and responsibilities together through the regression equation Ϋ = 27.094 + 0.325 X1 + 0.530 X2. The regression equation Ϋ = 27.094 + 0.325 X1 + 0.530 X2 means that each increase in one unit score of respect and responsibility together can increase teacher performance scores respectively 0.530 and 0.325 at a constant of 27.094.
