Analisis Perbandingan Kinerja Modulasi Langsung Dan Eksternal Untuk Sistem Wavelength Division Multiplexing (Wdm) Multiple Input Multiple Output (Mimo) Pada Kanal Free Space Optics (Fso)
ABSTRACT
Free Space Optic (FSO) is a high-speed wireless communication system
with an easy and inexpensive installation process and has wide bandwidth, high
data rate capacity, high security. So that it becomes one way to replace wired
optical communication by performing wireless optical communication and has the
potential of a transmission system to achieve the ability to multiply users with
high bit rate rates.
This research, the design and comparative analysis of direct and external
modulation performance was carried out using a Wavelength Division
Multiplexing (WDM) Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) system on the Free
Space Optics (FSO) channel. After that, analyzing the attenuation effect of sunny
weather conditions, fog and rain. Performing scenarios with a single system,
WDM-4 FSO, WDM-8 FSO, WDM-4 MIMO 2x2 FSO, WDM-8 MIMO 2x2 FSO,
WDM-4 MIMO 4x4 FSO and WDM-8 MIMO 4x4 FSO using 2.5 Gbps bitrate and
a wavelength of 1550 nm. Then the system obtains that the maximum distance that
still meets the standards with several different system scenarios.
