Ekomorfologi Udang Galah (Macrobrachium Rosenbergii) Di Sungai Rokan Dan Siak Provinsi Riau
ABSTRACT
Giant freshwater prawn Macrobrachium rosenbergii is economically important prawn species that inhabits the Rokan and Siak Rivers in Riau. The waters in both rivers, however, are under pressure due to pollutant. To understand the water quality and to understand the morphological characteristics of the prawns from both rivers, a study has been conducted in April-May 2022. The prawns were sampled from both rivers and then were analyzed in the laboratory. Prawn samplings were carried out 3 times, once/2 weeks. The prawns were caught using a trammel net and fishing rods. The prawn data were analyzed using a Kruskall-Wallis and a Mann Whitney tests. Seven parameters of the aquatic environment and nineteen morphological characteristics of the prawn were studied. Carapace length (CL) was used as a reference. Results shown that at rokan river the water temperature 30-310C, transparency of 13-26cm, pH 6, dissolved oxygen 2.53-8.33 mg/L, carbon dioxide 2.8-5.00 mg/L, BOD5 10.10-33.20 mg/L, hardness 100.0-160.0 mg/L, and the Siak River water temperature 26-300C, transparency of 14-23 cm, pH 6, dissolved oxygen 2.08-4.12 mg/L, carbon dioxide 2.7-4.00 mg/L, BOD5 10.10-33.20 mg/L, hardness 115.0-155.0 mg/L. The prawn’s morphological characteristics from both rivers were different (Asymp values. Sig
