Pengaruh Program Asrama Terhadap Pembentukan Karakter Mandiri Peserta Didik SMA Negeri Pintar Provinsi Riau

This research is motivated by a phenomenon that arises based on observations
made at the Smart State Senior High School in Riau Province that there are 50%
of Smart State Senior High School students in Riau Province who are not yet
independent. This can be seen from the students in carrying out their duties and
obligations in the dormitory must be ordered by the hostel supervisor first, they
still depend on other people to complete their tasks and obligations and are not
responsible for their duties and obligations in the dormitory. The formulation of
the problem in this study is whether there is an influence of the boarding program
on character building at SMA Negeri Pintar, Riau Province. This research
method is a quantitative research with a statistical approach. The data collection
instrument used in this study was a questionnaire consisting of 2 indicators with
25 statements and documentation. The population in this study were all 223 Smart
State Senior High School students in Riau Province. The sample in this study was
taken using the Proportional Sampling technique, namely 20% of the total
population, namely 45 people. Data processing with statistical analysis with a
simple linear regression formula. Based on the results of the simple linear
regression significance test F count > F table, namely 39.885 > 4.07, thus Ho is
rejected and Ha is accepted, which means that the X variable affects the Y
variable.
