Kemampuan Menulis Teks Cerita Pendek Siswa Kelas XI SMA Negeri 3 Bangko
Writing activities are slowly becoming less attractive to students today, one of the reasons is cellphones. At this time technological tools are developing very rapidly among children and students. Short story texts have been studied by class XI students of Bangko 3 Public High School, this is listed in Basic Competency 3.9 and 4.9, writing short stories can be used as a practical and fun lesson for writers and readers. The background of this research is to describe the level of ability to write short story texts by class XI students of SMA Negeri 3 Bangko. The method of collecting data in this study is using a description test. The data collected is useful for measuring students' short story writing abilities according to the material that has been studied. The data sources in this study are the results of observations and written tests. The data collection technique is in the form of written tests with the theme of friendship. The results of this study required testing the normality test with Lilifors to determine whether a group of samples came from a normally distributed population, and using the Kruskal Walis test for independent samples. Based on the normality test with Lilifors and the Kruskal Walis test from the decryptor of the assessment of the ability to write short story texts, the average score is 70.78 which is categorized as medium and Ho is accepted.
