Rancang Bangun Antena Mikrostrip Biosensor Pada Frekuensi 2,45 Ghz Untuk Deteksi Bakteri
ABSTRACT
Of the many types of bacteria that exist, Escherichia coli bacteria is one of the
bacteria that is often found, it is known that consuming water contaminated with
Escherichia coli bacterial microorganisms can be detrimental to humans,
including causing diarrhea, vaginal discharge in women and also cardiovascular
disease which is one of the causes cause of meningitis in infants. In this paper, the
antenna to be made is a microstrip biosensor antenna for the detection of
Escherichia coli bacteria which operates at the ISM (industrial, scientific and
medical) frequency, which works at a frequency of 2.45 GHz, the antenna is
designed using CST software and fabricated using Roger 3010 substrate material.
with the technique of supplying proximity coupled feed. Tests in this study used
Escherichia coli bacteria colony samples with the test method, namely the dilution
method or the bacterial dilution method using 0.5 Mcfarland bacteria as a
comparison. The dilution method was carried out 5 dilutions and then each
sample was measured using an antenna and the shift in frequency was seen,
where from the data obtained it showed that the results of a decrease in frequency
corresponded to the intensity of the number of dilutions carried out, this proved
that the frequency shift was caused by the intensity of the bacteria present in the
dilution method. test solution, where the more bacteria in the solution, the lower
the frequency of the test results.
