Efek Hg Dan Zn Terhadap Pertumbuhan Dan Kandungan Klorofil-A Cyclotella Sp.
ABSTRACT
Heavy metals are chemicals that can pollute waters and are toxic to microalgae, such as mercury (Hg) and zinc (Zn). Heavy metal Zn is an essential heavy metal, but it is toxic if the metal concretation is high in water. The study aimed to find out the toxicity of Hg and Zn as well as compare the toxicity of Hg and Zn against the abundance of Cyclotella sp. in 3 parameters namely, IC50, NOEC and LOEC. This toxicity test procedure uses the standard method of the Asean-Canada Cooperative Program on Marine Science Phase-II (ACCPMS-II). The result shown that the IC50-96 hours Hg and Zn values on the abundance of Cyclotella sp. are 0,049 mg/l and 0,45 mg/l, NOEC values of Hg and Zn were
