Karakteristik Minyak Ikan Tembakul (Periophthalmodon Schlosseri) Yang Di Ekstraksi Metode Wet Rendering
ABSTRACT
The purpose of this study was to obtain the best temperature for extracting
the oil of the mudskipper using the wet rendering method. The method used in this
study was an experiment with a non-factorial Completely Randomized Design
(CRD) with 3 replications. The treatment was given by using different
temperatures which consisted of 3 levels, namely 60°C (T1) 70°C (T2) and 80°C
(T3) and repeated 3 times, the number of experimental units in this study was 9
units. The parameters used are free fatty acid analysis, peroxide value, and
saponification number. The characteristics of the mudskipper oil are the peroxide
value of 1.60 meq/kg, free fatty acids of 1.22%, saponification value of 200.30
KOH/g. Furthermore, the characteristics of the mudskipper oil at 70°C have a
peroxidase value of 2.78 meq/kg, free fatty acids of 1.40%, saponification value
of 175.95 KOH/g. Furthermore, the characteristics of the mudskipper oil at 80°C
have a peroxidase value of 4.25 meq/kg, free fatty acids of 1.68%, saponification
value of 160.58 KOH/g.
