Biologi Reproduksi Ikan Kapiek (Puntius Schwanefeldii) Yang Dipelihara Pada Kja Lapis Ke-2 Dan Yang Hidup Liar Di Sekitar Keramba Di Waduk Plta Koto Panjang Kabupaten Kampar Provinsi Riau
Abstract
In the fish culture using multilayered floating net cage, the fish that was reared in the outer layer cage may feed on the pellets spilled from the inner layer cage and thus the outer layer caged fish receive nutritious feed that support their live, including their reproduction process. To understand the reproductive biology of Barbonymus schwanenfeldii reared in the outer layer net cage in the Koto Panjang Dam, a study has been conducted on September-October 2021. In this study, 4 multilayered cages were used (size 4x4x4 m for the inner cage and size 4.5x4.5x4.5m for the outer cage. There was 500 Cyprinus carpio placed in the inner cage and around 30 of B. schwanenfeldii kept in each outer cage. The fish was reared for 6 month. The fish in the inner cage was fed on commercial pellets at libitum, while the fish in the outer cage was never been fed, but they ate the spilled pellets come from the inner cage. The fish was sampled once, by the end of the 6th month. Wild B. schwanenfeldii living around the cage was also sampled and the reproductive biology of the cage reared and the wild fish was studied. Results shown that the reproductive biology of the fish living in the wild and in the outer cage was different. The caged fish was bigger (17,5 to 24,5 cm TL in caged fish and 11,9 to 21,5 cm TL of wild fish). The male-female ratio of the wild fish was 1 : 0.36, while that of the caged fish was 1 : 1.5. In the wild fish, they were in the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th maturity stage, with GSI 0.09% - 76.50% (female) and 0.27% - 29.23% (male), fecundity 143,000 – 188,000 eggs/ female and 21.7 – 25.9 mm egg diameter. In the caged fish, however, they were in the 3rd, 4th and 5th maturity stage, with GSI 27.71% - 247.37% (female) and 17.39% - 68.66% (male), fecundity 143,000 – 188,000 eggs/ female and egg diameter 26.4 – 29.4 mm. data obtained indicate that the reproductive biology of fish reared in the outer cage perform a better reproductive biology.
