Rancang Bangun Motor Permanent-Split-Capacitor 12-Kutub Untuk Penggerak Pintu Pagar Otomatis
ABSTRACT
The use of single-phase induction motors when viewed from the voltage source, one of which is a single-phase induction motor with a permanent type of split capacitor or also called a running capacitor motor which is widely used for household purposes as a driver for water pumps, automatic gate drives, and so on. The permanent split capacitor motor as the driving force for the automatic gate, is mounted at the bottom using a gearbox on the fence with electric power as the main mover. Because this automatic fence gate is often used, it is necessary to increase efficiency so that the use of electric power is lower so that it saves more on operational costs. One way is to rewind the motor by reducing the speed of the motor so that the torque is large and the electricity usage is smaller. When the permanent motor splits the capacitor before and after rewinding. Test data shows that the motor after re-winding produces a speed of 487 rpm, and a lower current of 2.3 amperes before re-winding. Because the motor speed is lower, the torque produced is greater, increasing the efficiency of the permanent split capacitor motor as the driving force for the automatic gate
