Rancang Bangun Antena Slotted Waveguide Untuk Portable Coastal Radar Pada Frekuensi 9,3 Ghz
ABSTRACT
Portable coastal radar is an important device for monitoring the security of the borders of Indonesian waters. In the 2019 presidential election debate, President Jokowi said that there were already 11 maritime radar points installed in several parts of Indonesia. This amount is still not enough to cover Indonesian waters as a whole, especially in border areas. Radar consists of several components, one of the most important components is the antenna. The antenna used in this study is a slotted waveguide antenna. The slotted waveguide antenna has the advantages of large gain and narrow beamwidth and can be designed with many slots in one module, so it does not require a power combiner. This thesis discusses the design of slotted waveguide antenna for portable coastal radar at 9.3 GHz frequency with bandwidth >30 MHz, beamwidth < 1° and gain 15 dBi. The antenna is designed using Aluminium material with a thickness of 1.27 mm. The results of the simulation of slotted waveguide antenna 63 slot narrow wall obtained a return loss of -24.768, VSWR 1.1254, bandwidth of 42.9 MHz, gain of 23.2 dBi, and beamwidth of 0.9°.
