Perancangan Penerangan Jalan Berbasis Solar Sel Untuk Kompleks Sekolah Islam Inayah
ABSTRACT
In this day and age, many roads are already using Solar Public Street Lighting (PJUTS). PJUTS is a Solar Power Plant (PLTS) application off-grid for street lighting. Inayah Islamic School plans to build PJUTS on the road in its school complex. The size of the road is small and sourced electrical energy from the sun, it is one of the foundations of research. This study aims to design street lighting and electrical systems using solar cells, taking into account the cost from the economic aspect of designing street lighting. From direct measurements at the research location, it was obtained that the road width was 4.5 meters and the total length was 330 meters. Road size is used to determine the need for lighting quality according to SNI 7391:2008. In this study, PJUTS was designed with a pole height of 5 meters and a polearm of 1.5 meters using a 2 in 1 20 watt LED lamp and a 50 Wp solar cell. Based on the results of the analysis, the component specifications used in the design have met the requirements according to SNI 7391: 2008, and the number of poles required for 22 PJUTS points along the road is obtained. Building PJUTS off-grid at the Inayah Islamic School costs around IDR 108,240,000.00, this cost is cheaper and more efficient than conventional PJU which costs IDR 119,199,520.00.
