ABSTRACT
In this Era, the waste food give harmful impacts to the environment. This one of the problems of the world community. In fact, many people produce a lot of waste from their leftover food. The cause of this case is the people’s habits in throwing away leftover food. In contrast, there are still many people who are unable to sufficient their food needs. This problem is the background for the researcher made this application to facilitate the community in resolve the waste food. This application is useful to share food to poor people. The application is created by using the REST API method. The using of the API to make easier for a system to collaborate with the android system which will be made as a "connector" that allows a system to interact with other system. The purpose is to speeding up the process in application development. The design of this system uses MySQL database and the Laravel framework. In distributing the food, the owners of food cannot upload other photos except food, because the picture will be validated formerly by API technology. This research is using research method and development which are created food sharing application based on android system. The result has been tested with of 90% unit , UI testing with a value of 94.2% and with blackbox testing get of 100% test score which is included in the "So Worth it" category.
