Pengaruh Kepemimpinan Kepala Sekolah Dan Motivasi Kerja Terhadap Kinerja Guru Yayasan Titian Bazma Dumai Kota
Schools as formal educational institutions play an important role in
improving the quality of education through learning to support the smooth
running of development in Indonesia as a whole. In carrying out school-based
management effectively and efficiently, it requires school principals who have
leadership, planning, and broad views about schools and education. The success
of the school in escorting students cannot be separated from all the components
involved in the school, namely the principal, teachers, administrative staff,
students and the role of parents.
The purpose of this study was to analyze the influence of the principal's
leadership on the performance of Titian Bazma Foundation teachers in Dumai
City, to analyze the effect of work motivation on the performance of Titian Bazma
Foundation teachers in Dumai City, and to analyze the influence of principal
leadership and work motivation on the performance of Titian Bazma Foundation
teachers in Dumai City. This study used an ex post facto approach with a
correlational design. So that in this study it does not carry out the treatment of
research variables but rather examines the facts that have occurred and have
been carried out by research subjects.
The research was carried out at the Titian Bazma Foundation, Dumai
City, from July 2022 to November 2022. The population for this study was 84
teachers. The instrument used in this research is a questionnaire. The
questionnaire in this study used a Likert scale. data analysis techniques in
quantitative research using statistics. There are two kinds of statistics used for
data analysis in research, namely descriptive statistics and inferential statistics.
Descriptive statistics are statistics that are used to analyze data by describing or
describing the data that has been collected as it is without intending to make
general conclusions. In this research, hypothesis testing uses simple linear
regression analysis and multiple linear regression analysis. In testing the
hypothesis for the relationship X1 to Y and X2 to Y using the t test, meanwhile to
test the hypothesis of the relationship X1 and X2 together with Y using the F test.
The results of this study indicate that there is a positive and significant
influence of the principal's leadership (X1) on teacher performance (Y) Titian
Bazma Foundation, City of Dumai
1. The strength of the relationship between principal
leadership and teacher performance is relatively strong, it can be seen of the
correlation coefficient R of 0.601. The magnitude of the influence of the
principal's leadership on teacher performance is 0.361 or 36.1% and the
remaining 63.9% is influenced by other variables not examined. Furthermore,
there is a positive and significant influence of work motivation (X2) on teacher
performance (Y) of the Titian
2. The strength of the
relationship between work motivation and teacher performance is relatively
strong, as can be seen from the correlation coefficient R of 0.696. The magnitude
xv
of the influence of work motivation on teacher performance is 0.484 or 48.4% and
the remaining 51.6% is influenced by other variables not examined.
Simultaneously, there is a positive and significant influence of principal
leadership an
1+0.560X2. The strength of the relationship between principal
leadership and work motivation with teacher performance is relatively strong, as
can be seen from the correlation coefficient R of 0.738. The magnitude of the
influence of the principal's leadership and work motivation on teacher
performance is 0.544 or 54.4% and the remaining 45.6% is influenced by other
variables not examined.
Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that the better the
leadership applied by the principal, the higher the teacher's performance, the
higher the work motivation possessed by the teachers, the higher the teacher's
performance, and the better the leadership of the principal and work motivation
in school the higher the teacher's performance. Thus it can be said that the three
hypotheses proposed in this study can be accepted
