ABSTRACT
The problem of delays in handling waste problems can cause big problems in a developing city. This problem is caused by several things, especially in terms of waste management which is getting worse and worse in a city which can result in a serious disaster for that city.
Therefore, the authors conducted a research on internet-based automatic trash cans using ultrasonic sensors as a detector for someone who wants to dispose of trash and as a detector if the trash can is full. Where when the ultrasonic sensor outside the trash can detects someone who wants to throw away the trash, the data will be processed by the NodeMCU microcontroller to instruct the servo motor to move to open the trash can cover automatically and the LED lights up for a few seconds when the trash can cover is opened, and the ultrasonic sensor that being in the trash can will detect trash that goes into the trash can and is displayed on blynk and also detects if the trash can is full. Where the data received by the ultrasonic sensor that is outside the trash can is ≤30cm and the data received by the ultrasonic sensor that is inside the trash can is
