Uji Efektivitas Penggunaan Pellet Benih Sebagai Media Tumbuh Pada Matoa (Pometia Pinnata)

ABSTRACT Nursery Pometia pinnata is generally past using topsoil as the growing medium and then placed in a polybag. The use of polybags on a large scale can dirty the land and cause damage to the environment. Another alternative to anticipate land damage and environmental contamination is the use of seed pellet printing media that can increase the success of the nursery. The aim of this study was to determine the potential of seed pellets for the growth of Pometia pinnata and to determine the composition of the best seed pellet mixture to promote the growth of Pometia pinnata. This study was conducted using an experimental method with a non-factorial, fully randomized design consisting of four treatments and four replicates. Observations consisted increase height and diameter, NPA and physical characteristics of the seed pellets. Observations showed that the seed pellets on P2 showed the best results for stimulating the growth of Pometia pinnata with increase height 21.32 cm, increase diameter 4.65 mm, top root ratio 2.05 and physical characteristics of intact seed pellets 92.5%. This is due to the good composition of the growing media in providing plant nutrients.
