Identifikasi Mikroalgae Dari Perairan Kolam Tanah Di Kota Pekanbaru
Abstract
In the earthen ponds that are used for rearing fish, the presence of fish pellets remains and fish feces increase the organic material contents and thus support the life of microalgae. As there are many potential microalgae, a study aims to understand the types of microalgae presence in the pond waters were conducted on September-December 2021, located in the earthen pools in Pekanbaru. There were 4 sampling sites, namely the earthen ponds in Gg. Balam (St1), Jl. Melati Indah (St2) Jl. Lokomotif (St3) and Jl. Rawamangun (St4). Samplings were conducted 3 times, once/ week. To collect the microalgae, 100 L of pond water was filtered into 150 ml using a plankton net number 25. Microalgae samples were then fixed using 1% Lugol solution and were identified. There were 13 species and 8 genera of microalgae present in all samples obtained, they were Scenedesmus, Pediastrum, Closeterium, Chlorella, Spirulina, Coelastrum, Microcystis dan Tetrastrum. The highest abundance of microalgae was obtained in the Station 2 which was 176,245 cells/L and the lowest was in the station 1 which was 51,081 cells/L. There were 3 potential species of microalgae that can be cultured for future used as protein and biodiesel resources. They were Spirulina platensi, Chlorella vulgaris and Scenedesmus obligus.
