ABSTRACT
The powder mixing/blending process plays an important role in powder metallurgy because the uniformity of the powder mixture greatly affects the quality of the resulting product. The aim of this final project is to make a metal powder mixer that can be used for powder metallurgy processes. Mixing speed on this machine is controlled using a 12V 110 rpm DC motor. The working principle of metal powder mixing equipment, namely: a mixture of 2 or more types of metal/non-metal powder is put into a container. The holding vessel containing the metal powder is connected to the coupling via the agitator shaft. The electric motor is turned on to rotate the pulley on the shaft connected to the ribbon mixer. The powder mixing speed is set with a maximum speed of 55 rpm and the powder mixing time is determined. The results of making a metal powder mixing tool can be used to mix metal / and non-metal powders with good powder mixture uniformity and produce tool components according to technical drawings
