Penerapan Algoritma Linkstate Dan Distance Vektor Untuk Memperluas Jaringan Mpls Di Pt Icon+ Sumatera Selatan
ABSTRACT
Abstract: This research is motivated by existence a need for users every year for home internet to expand the coverage area of the network. PT Icon+ comes with plans to collect data related to homepass, and expand the network by adding Point Of Presence in the southern Sumatra area in areas not yet covered by the PT Icon+ network and also to meet the 2021 marketing target for the retail sector or Iconnet customers in the South Sumatra area. This research aims to apply the Linkstate and Distance Vector Algorithm to Expand the MPLS Network at PT ICON+ South Sumatra, as well as test and analyze the results of the network expansion design that has been carried out. The development method used in this study is preparation of hardware and software used for the simulated network using Open Shortest Path First routing and Border Gateway Protoco and Multi Protocol Label Switching on backbone routers or additional Point Of Presence for various areas in the existing PT backbone network simulation. Icon+ Sumbagsel. Analysis of the results in this study is that OSPF can divide routing based on area so that it doesn't overload the memory on each router, MPLS sends packets using labels and releases labels before the packet arrives at a router before its destination,. The results of the comparison of network delay and jitter on the 3 routing protocols show that the OSPF protocol delay is 42.929 ms and the OSPF jitter is 43.019 ms, the RIP protocol delay is 44.125 ms and the RP jitter is 44.242 ms, the EIGRP protocol delay is 53.011 ms and the jitter is 52.997 ms, Border Gateway Protocol requires internal routing such as OSPF, RIP and EIGRP in sending data in the same autonomous system and then (IBGP) forwarding it to a different autonomous system (EBGP).
