ABSTRACT
The cleanliness of the environment around us is very important and the main thing for us to keep. As humans who live close to nature, especially close to the sea, they should be able to care, maintain, preserve, or participate in managing without polluting the environment, so that later marine life and a clean environment and a healthy society can be created. This study aims to determine how public awareness of waste related issues in lingkunganya and factors that affect public awareness in Kampung Agas. This study used descriptive quantitative methods. The population of this study is a community in Kampung Agas amounting to 102 people with a sample of 73 respondents. Sampling using simple random sampling technique. Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that public awareness of environmental cleanliness related to waste issues is categorized as very low public awareness with a percentage of 93.1% this is seen by many respondents who never and rarely to do things related to environmentally conscious behavior. Then the factors that affect the most influential awareness is the knowledge factor with a percentage level of 57.6%.
