Impacted teeth refers to a condition in which one's teeth are buried or not erupting (either a part of or the whole teeth) during normal eruption period. The treatment for it called odontectomy. Silk threads are used for suturing in the aforementioned treatment, which can be some kind of a site for bacterial colonization. Furthermore, antibiotics are also used to prevent and treat post-odontectomy infections. This research aims to determine the patterns of bacteria and antibiotics' sensitivity on post-odontectomy silk thread bacteria in the patients at Arifin Achmad Hospital, Riau. This research is a prospective descriptive research with consecutive sampling of post-odontectomy patients at Arifin Achmad Hospital, Riau.
