Kualitas Air Sungai Rawa Di Desa Rawa Mekar Jaya Kecamatan Sungai Apit Kabupaten Siak Provinsi Riau
Abstract The Rawa River is one of the rivers in Sungai Apit District, Siak Regency. The head of the Rawa River is in the Zamrud Lake and its estuary is in the Panjang Strait or Lalang Strait. IKA-NSF is a water quality assessment index to analyze the good and bad water quality for the survival of aquatic organisms. The purpose of this study to determine the quality of the Rawa River in Rawa Mekar Jaya Village, Sungai Apit District, Siak Regency. This research was conducted in April-June 2022. There were 3 stations namely: station I was located near by a residential area, station II was located in lowest mangrove density, and station III was highest mangrove density with characteristic far away from residential area. Sampling was carried out 3 times, once/month. Water quality parameters measured were: temperature, transparency, depth, turbidity, current velocity, TSS, pH, salinity, dissolved oxygen (DO), biological oxygen demand (BOD5), nitrate and total phosphate. The results shown that temperature average was 29.37-29.9oC, transparency average was 18.67-19.83 cm, depth average was 2.6-5 m, turbidity average was 30.67-34.7 NTU, current velocity average was 0.025-0.037, TSS average was 14.33-25 mg/L, pH average was 4.12-4.55, salinity average was 14.33-17.33 ppt, dissolved oxygen (DO) average was 4.6-7.13 mg/L, biological oxygen demand (BOD5) average was 4.67-7, 67 mg/L, nitrate average was 0.20-0.32 mg/L, and total phosphate average was 1.24-1.48 mg/L. The IKA-NSF value of the Rawa River is 46,8-56,95 or classified as poor moderate criteria. Based on the IKA-NSF value, it can be concluded the quality of Rawa River bad.
