Modifikasi Mesin Penanam Bibit Padi Semi Otomatis Dengan Lima Lajur Penanam
Abstract
The process of planting rice in general is still done manually, especially as rice planting is carried out by farmers in the Salimpaung District, Tanah Datar Regency, West Sumatra. Planting is usually done by 1-3 people depending on the area of the rice field to be planted with an average spacing of about 23-27 cm. The scarcity of labor in agriculture, especially planting workers, is one of the problems faced in the agricultural sector. This final project was made with the aim of modifying a rice seed planting machine from the Amha video reference on the YouTube page which has not been equipped with a seed lowering component on the tray. The rice seed planting machine that will be made has a spacing of 23 cm (to the side) with the addition of a seed lowering on the tray. The machine is powered by an electric motor with a power of 250 watts to move the planting arm, and is guided by an operator. This machine is expected to help farmers shorten the time in the planting process. The diameter of the driven sprocket on this machine is 140 mm and has 32 teeth. The driving shaft of the claw cultivator used is 16 mm in diameter and made of aluminum. This machine has a driving motor with a rotation of 337 rpm. From the results of the tests that have been carried out, a machine is capable of planting rice with an area of 4.26 m2/minute.
