Sifat Fisik Beton Polimer Resin Akrilik
ABSTRACT
The development of concrete science in the field of construction is increasingly advanced; concrete is widely used in building works, roads, bridges, and waterworks. The problem with concrete that occurs is seepage in the concrete due to reduced concrete impermeability. The impermeability of concrete is very important to overcome seepage that occurs so that the reinforcement in the concrete does not corrode due to external influences. As a result, water-resistant concrete using acrylic resin polymer concrete is required. Acrylic resin polymer concrete is concrete with a mixture of cement, water, coarse aggregate, fine aggregate, and acrylic resin as a substitute for water. This study aims to examine the physical properties of acrylic resin polymer concrete by testing porosity, water absorption, sorptivity, and the corrosion rate of reinforcement at variations of 0%, 20%, 30%, and 40% acrylic resin. The results of testing the physical properties of acrylic resin polymer concrete obtained the following: the smallest porosity varied by 40% by 8.853%, the smallest water absorption was varied by 40% by 3.877%, the smallest sorptivity was varied by 40% by 0.005 mm/min0.5, and the weight loss test on the reinforcement in the concrete had not revealed any weight loss. Based on the test results, the acrylic resin polymer concrete has good impermeability.
