Pengembangan E-LKPD Berbasis Discovery Learning Berbantuan Video Pembelajaran Untuk Memfasilitasi Kemampuan Pemahaman Matematis Peserta Didik Kelas VIII SMP/Mts
This research is motivated by the low ability of students' mathematical
understanding and the limitations of Electronic Student Worksheets (E-LKPD).
The purpose of this study was to develop an E-LKPD assisted by Video Learning
Mathematics that meets valid and practical requirements to facilitate
mathematical understanding of the material Surface Area and Volume of 3-D
Shapes Flat Side. The material for Surface Area and Volume of 3-D Shapes Flat
Side was chosen because the results of the students' Daily Mark, Midterm Exam
and Final Exams on this material were still below the Minimum Completeness
Criteria.
The type of research used is development research. The E-LKPD was
developed using the 4-D model, namely: (1) define (front-end analysis, learner
analysis, concept analysis, task analysis and specifying instructional objectives),
(2) design (choosing the format and designing the E-LKPD , Validation
Instrument, and Student Response Questionnaire), (3) develop (expert validation,
small group trials and practicality trials), and (4) disseminate. In this study, the
develop stage was only carried out until the practicality test was carried out to
see the practicality of the E-LKPD being developed.
The instrument used to obtain data on the validity of the E-LKPD is a
validation sheet, while the instrument used to collect practical data is a student
response questionnaire. E-LKPD is said to be valid in this study if the validation
results achieved are based on the assessment of the validator more than 70%. ELKPD
is said to be practical if the percentage of practicality level obtained from
student response questionnaires is more than 70%. Based on the results of the
validation analysis, it was concluded that the developed E-LKPD had met the
Very Valid category, with validation results of 3.72 (scale 4) or 92.79% (scale
100).
The next researcher performs the define stage, namely conducting a frontend
analysis. This stage the researcher conducted interviews with 3 different
junior high school mathematics teachers in Pekanbaru City. The results of the
interview concluded that it is necessary to have an E-LKPD that contains learning
videos that can facilitate students' understanding abilities in studying the material
of surface area and volume of 3D-shapes flat-sided in grade VIII SMP/MTs.
Furthermore, at the design stage, the researcher chose a format and designed an
E-LKPD that was familiar to students, namely using the Google Form platform
and making learning videos using screen recordings of material using the
Camtasia application. At this stage the researcher also developed a Validation
Instrument, and Student Response Questionnaire.
In the develop stage, the E-LKPD was tested on 8 class IX students of SMP
Smart Indonesia Pekanbaru who had received or studied the Surface Area and
Volume 3D-shapes flat-sided to see the legibility of the developed E-LKPD. The
results of the student response questionnaire at the limited trial stage showed that
the E-LKPD met the very practical criteria with a percentage of 93.13%. E-LKPD

revised according to suggestions and input from students. The revised E-LKPD
was then piloted to class VIII students, totaling 25 students of SMP Smart
Indonesia Pekanbaru. Practical trials of E-LKPD were carried out in 6 meetings.
The results of the questionnaire analysis of student responses to the E-LKPD were
94.82%. This shows that the developed E-LKPD has met the very practical
criteria. The E-LKPD is then revised according to suggestions from students.
The revised E-LKPD was then made a product of the results of this
research. The results of research on the development of E-LKPD that have been
carried out show that E-LKPD based on Discovery Learning assisted by learning
videos to facilitate students' mathematical understanding abilities on the material
of surface area and volume of 3D-shapes flat-sided for grade VIII SMP/MTs is
valid and practical.
