Kaji Eksperimental Pada Wet Contact Disc-On-Disc Terhadap Laju Keausan Dan Koefisien Gesek Menggunakan Campuran Rbd Palm Olein Dengan Graphene Pada Temperatur Tinggi
ABSTRACT
Mechanical contact on an object that gets a load or thrust will cause friction. Friction between objects if it occurs continuously causes wear. Bearing is one of the elements that must avoid friction because it can affect the life of the element and the work efficiency of the machine. One way to slow it down is to use lubricant. The science that studies the problem is tribology. Wear and friction can be tested with a tribometer. Currently, the lubricants used are mineral oil and synthetic oil so that over time, the need for lubricants increases which results in environmental problems and is non-renewable. To overcome this problem is to use bio-based lubricants, one of which uses palm oil. The weakness of palm oil is that its viscosity is weak at high temperatures. So, in this study graphene is used as an additive to cover the shortage of palm oil by using a disc-on-disc tribometer. In this test the variation used RBD palm Olein and Graphene mixture there are 3 variations performed with a temperature of 100
. with the results of the value of wear rate and coefficient of friction are different. At 99.99% RBD Palm Olein with 0.01% Graphene wear value and the highest friction coefficient of 7.36756 x 10-6 mm3/Nm and 3.50254 x 10-7, 99.95% RBD Palm Olein with 0.05% Graphene with the highest value of 5.59183 x 10-6 mm3/Nm and 3.32133 x 10-7 and 99.9% RBD Palm Olein with 0.1% graphene with the highest value of 4.36952 X 10-6 mm3/Nm and 2.62465 x 10-7.
