Kondisi Eksisting Pemanfaatan Sumberdaya Perikanan Tangkap Berbasis Kearifan Lokal Di Desa Tambak Kecamatan Langgam Kabupaten Pelalawan Provinsi Riau

ABSTRACT
In the Tambak Village, there is a traditional fish auction activity called “pajak”. This activity was conducted once/ year and aims to manage the fishery resources in those areas based on the local wisdom. This activity was applied for catching fish in the rivers as well as the lakes present in that village. Unfortunately, the rivers and lakes in that village were threatened due to the presence of pollutant originated from anthropogenic activities such as the domestic, plantation, logging and palm oil industries activities. To understand the water quality condition of the aquatic areas used to apply the „pajak” activities, a study has been conducted on July to August 2022. There were 3 sampling sites, namely the Ompang Badanguang Lake, Sialang Kubang Lake and Lilipan River. Samplings were conducted 3 times, once/ month. Results shown that the water quality in the sampling sites were as follows: DO 3.75-4.1 mg/L, temperature 28-30oC, pH 4-5, brightness 27-32 cm, electrical conductivity 20-22 μS/cm, and Total Dissolved Solid 9-12 mg/L. Based on data obtained, it can be concluded that the water quality in the study areas were good and can be categorized as the 3rd class of water quality standard that is able to support the fishing activities.
