Pengaruh Kecerdasan Emosional, Praktik Kerja Industri, Soft Skill, Dan Self-Efficacy Terhadap Kesiapan Kerja Siswa SMKN Kota Pekanbaru
Vocational High School as one of the institutions that prepares the workforce, it is hoped that after graduating from Vocational High School students have good work readiness to work immediately without requiring a long time. However, in reality, in Indonesia, based on data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), it contributed the highest open unemployment rate to 8.40 million vocational school graduates, unemployment for vocational graduates reached 10.38%, being the largest contributor to unemployment compared to graduates of other educational levels, such as high school 8.35. %, then followed by D-IV, S1, S2, S,3 at 6.7% and diploma I/II/III graduates at 6.09%. This is due to the work readiness of students who are still not ready, there are still some students who often feel sleepy when learning, it can be seen that the physical condition of students is still not good, there are still students who are confused after graduating from Vocational High School, they want to go straight to work or college, they find it difficult to make decisions, there are still students who make mistakes in analyzing, calculating, and recording transactions in adjusting journal learning, this is due to the basic knowledge and skills of students who are still not ready. There are several factors that influence student work readiness, namely emotional intelligence, industrial work practices, soft skills, and self-efficacy.
This study aims to analyze the effect of emotional intelligence, industrial work practices, soft skills, and self-efficacy on the work readiness of pekanbaru city vocational high school students. The type of research used is quantitative descriptive research, this research was conducted at Pekanbaru 1st State Vocational High School and Pekanbaru 6th State Vocational High School. Quantitative data types are primary data sources, namely data obtained directly from the sources concerned through distributing questionnaires during research on work readiness, emotional intelligence, industrial work practices, soft skills, and self-efficacy. The population in this study were 233 students and a sample of 147 students. Samples were obtained using proportional random sampling. The data collection technique in this study was a questionnaire or questionnaire. The analysis technique used is descriptive analysis and multiple linear regression analysis.
The results showed: 1) Emotional intelligence affects the work readiness of Pekanbaru City Vocational High School students, meaning that the higher the emotional intelligence of students will make students have better work readiness, 2) Industrial work practices affect the work readiness of Pekanbaru City Vocational High School students, meaning the higher student industrial work practices will make students increasingly have good work readiness, 3) Soft skills affect the work readiness of Pekanbaru City Vocational High School students, meaning that the higher the soft skills students have, the more students have good work readiness, 4) Self-Efficacy influences on the work readiness of Pekanbaru

City Vocational High School students, meaning that the higher the student's self-efficacy makes students more and more good at work readiness, 5) Emotional intelligence, industrial work practices, soft skills, and self-efficacy affect the work readiness of Pekanbaru City Vocational High School students, meaning the higher the emotional intelligence, work practices a industry, soft skills, and self-efficacy so students will have good job readiness.
Recommendations from the results of research on emotional intelligence, industrial work practices, soft skills, and self-efficacy on the work readiness of Pekanbaru City Vocational High School students 1) Students' emotional intelligence in recognizing their own emotions is expected to be further enhanced, students are expected to learn to manage their own emotions, practice staying calm and can overcome stress, 2) Industrial work practices, it is expected that students must be more active when carrying out industrial work practices to add insight and knowledge so that they have good work readiness, are able to follow existing developments so that later they can compete competitively with other graduates when entering the world of work, 3) Soft skills in oral communication students must interact a lot with others to improve soft skills, actively participate in school activity organizations can learn many things starting with good language, learn a sense of responsibility, and add creativity to students, 4) This research can be used as material reference for further research in conducting research on student work readiness, knowing the factors that influence student work other than those examined in research.
