RELEVANCE OF KNOWLADGE WITH BEHAVIOR OF ANTIBIOTICS USE THAT ARE RISKS OF ANTIBIOTICS RESISTANCE IN PEKANBARU CITY COMMUNITY IN 2022

Irrational use of antibiotics is commonly found in the community and this can pose a risk of developing antibiotic resisatnce. Based on the repost from the Riau Provincial Health Service, was found that the prescription of antibiotics to patient did not match the indication, such as non-pneumonic acute respiratory infections and non-specific diarrhea. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of knowledge and behavior of antibiotics use in Pekanbaru City community and to analyze the relevance between them. This study is an analytic study with a cross-sectional approach with purposive sampling method and involving 119 respondents. The research data is in the form of results of filling out a questionnare consisting 20 quaestions conducted online via google form. The results obtained are the majority of respondents are in the age range of 18-25 years old (69,9%). The majority of respondents are women (67,1%) and the last education of the majority of respondents is High School/of the same level (61,6%). The majority od respondents work (54,3%) and most of the respondents are from the District of Tampan. The most used antibiotics by respondents was Amoxicillin (41,3%). The level of knowledge of respondents who are in the proper cathegory is 32,4%, the sufficient cathegory is 18,7%, and the deficient cathegory is 47,6%. The behavior level of the most respondents is in the sufficient cathegory, which is 54,8%, followed by the proper cathegory at 26% and the deficient cathegory at 14,2%. The Chi-square test shows a significance value of 0,000 which indicates a significant relevance between knowledge and behavior in the use of antibiotics in Pekanbaru City community.
