Female Orgasmic Dysfunction (FOD) is part of Female Sexual Dysfunction
(FSD) which is a condition of difficulty in order to achieve orgasm, substantially
decreasing orgasm intensity, or a combination of both. The DSM-5 lists 3 risk
factors for FOD such as Temperament factors (pregnancy worries and anxiety),
Environmental factors (physical health, mental health, and partner relationship
problems), Physical factors (several diseases can cause FOD, such as multiple
sclerosis, pelvic nerve damage, vulvovaginal atrophy, and spinal cord injury and
taking drugs, such as selective serotonin re-uptake inhibitors). The diagnostic
criteria according to Campbell Walsh Wein Urology 12th edition book is based on
the symptoms found in patients such as decreased interest in sexual activities,
decreased interest and arousal when stimulated or during sex in every sexual
activity, decreased sensations of the female organs and other sensitive parts of the
body, decreased orgasm in almost every sexual activity. The purpose of this study
was to determine the description of FOD in urological patients. The research
design used was descriptive cross-sectional using univariate analysis which was
carried out in October 2021-December 2021 at Arifin Achmad Hospital, Riau
v
Province on 22 samples of urology patients, both coming for the first time and
patient that came to control. The questionnaire was filled out in 10 minutes by a
guided interview conducted by the researcher. The data is processed and presented
in the form of a frequency distribution table. The results of the 22 samples of this
study showed that the highest percentage of FOD was in patients with a diagnosis
of Nefrolithiasis as many as 5 patients. The highest age group was 41-60 years,
with 19 patients. Each percentage of factors that affect the occurrence of orgasmic
dysfunction are urological disorders, age, socio-cultural. From the results of this
study, it was found that most FOD in urological patients related to diagnosis of
Nefrolithiasis, with the highest age range of 41-60 years and the most influential
factors were socio-cultural factors and urologic diagnosis.
