Implementasi Total Quality Management (TQM) Di Mas. Kmi Diniyyah Puteri Padang Panjang: Berdasarkan Analisis Trilogy Juran
Schools as educational institutions will always try to improve the quality of education. One of them is by increasing the standard of the learning process, where the standard of the learning process is one of the keys to achieving educational goals. This study aims to determine the implementation of Total Quality Management (TQM) in the standard learning process at MAS KMI Diniyyah Puteri Padang Panjang. The application of TQM will be discussed using the Juran Trilogy concept which consists of Quality Planning, Quality Control and Quality Improvement.
The research approach used is descriptive qualitative research. Data collection was carried out using interviews, document collection and field observations. The type of interview used was structured interview and the type of observation made was frank observation where the object of research was aware of this research activity. Informants in this study were the Principal, Vice Curriculum, teachers and students. There are 3 stages assessed in this study, namely the application of planning the quality of the learning process, controlling the quality of the learning process and improving the quality of the learning process carried out at MAS KMI Diniyyah Puteri. Data processing will begin with collecting data, reducing data, presenting data, analyzing data and drawing conclusions. Next, checking the validity of the data uses source triangulation, namely re-checking the data obtained from informants by asking the correctness of the data from one informant with another informant and method trigulation, namely checking research results with different data collection techniques.
Based on the results of the research conducted, the implementation of total quality management in the learning process standards has been carried out in accordance with the standards set, namely the process standards set by the National Education Standards (SNP). 1. Planning for the learning process has been carried out with established standards, namely following the National Education Standards and adding several items that are in accordance with the QUBA Curriculum stipulation in a lesson plan. Whereas in the school's Annual Work Plan it is planned that lesson plans have been collected at the beginning of each semester, but the findings in the field are not all teachers collect lesson plans. 2. Quality control of the learning process. Trilogy Juran said that quality control consists of implementing learning and controlling. The implementation of learning is not in accordance with standards or regulations, that is, not all learning is carried out in a fun, inspiring way, creating elaboration and exploration. This is caused by the teacher's competence in creating a classroom atmosphere. Quality control carried out by MAS KMI is carried out in the form of 1) assessment of student learning outcomes 2) Student Daily Journals 3) Project displays 4) Presence for students and teachers. This form of control is carried out in an effort to implement a learning process and achieve the goals of the learning process. 3. Improving the quality of the learning process, quality improvement is
the stage of monitoring, evaluating and following up on the learning process. mas. KMI has carried out (1) monitoring, (2) supervision and (3) follow-up. But in the implementation of supervision is still carried out in small quantities, so it has not been able to do a better assessment to be able to improve the quality of the learning process.
