Analisis Perbandingan Life Cycle Assessment (Lca) Pada Sintesis Bio-Metal Organic Framework Cobalt Glutamic Mengggunakan Metode Solvothermal Dan Ultrasonic Untuk Aplikasi Carbon Capture
ABSTRACT
Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) analysis is a method used to evaluate the
environmental impact of a product or process over its entire life. In this study, LCA
was used to analyze the comparative synthesis of Cobalt Glutamic Bio-MOF using
two methods, namely the solvothermal method and the ultrasonic method. The
purpose of this analysis is to determine the environmental impact resulting from
solvothermal and ultrasonic synthesis methods and the most environmentally
friendly synthesis route for carbon capture applications. The results of the LCA
analysis show that the synthesis of Bio-MOF Cobalt Glutamic using the ultrasonic
method has a lower environmental impact compared to the solvothermal method.
This is due to the more efficient use of raw materials and a more efficient synthesis
process in the ultrasonic method. The conclusion of this study is that Bio-MOF
Cobalt Glutamic synthesis using the ultrasonic method is a better choice for carbon
capture applications compared to the solvothermal method, because it has a lower
environmental impact. Therefore, in developing carbon capture applications, it is
better to consider the results of the LCA analysis to ensure that the choice of
technology used is in accordance with environmental objectives.
