Perancangan Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Biogas Dari Palm Oil Mill Effluent (Pome) Pada Pt. Bina Pitri Jaya
ABSTRACT
Indonesia is the largest palm oil producer in the world. One of the by-products of palm oil processing plants is POME which is liquid waste. This waste is quite large and can be converted into biogas which can then be used as a source of electrical energy. Utilization of palm oil waste as a source of biogas energy is an alternative effort to generate electricity. In this study, the authors designed a Biogas Power Plant (PLTBg) with the final year of planning in 2036. The design includes aspects of determining the capacity and designing the digester, determining the specifications of the scrubber, dehumidifier and gas engine components. Based on the calculation results, the projected amount of FFB in the planning year 2036 is 442.657,1146 Tons, COD value is 116.950.9623 mg/L, and the volume of waste flow is 249.569.2762 m3. Biogas production that can be produced is 21,219.5826 Nm3 CH4/day, with a generating capacity of 3.68 MW and a generated data value of 3.2 MW.. The value of the digester tank volume over design is 28.800 m3 , with a tank diameter of 18.5 m and a tank height of 26.64 m. The scrubber unit is planned to have absorber dimensions with a diameter of 63.62 cm, a height of 11.45 m and a stripper column with a diameter of 138 cm and a height of 5.56 m. The planned dehumidifier is Parker type Skd1350-116 with a biogas flowrate of 1350 m3/h. The fuel is 750 m3 biogas or 345 kg/hour of biogas, so the ideal turbine work is 45.166 KW and the actual turbine work is 38.11 KW which has a turbine efficiency of 77.8% and a generator efficiency of 42% with a generator power output of 12.45 KW using a Jenbacher generator type J-420
