ABSTRACT
The application of power generation technology using solar cells to utilize the potential of solar energy is the right solution in reducing dependence on energy from PLN. In a solar energy generation system there are objects that need to be monitored, namely solar cells, solar charge controllers, and inverters. The design of this monitoring system consists of a voltage divider circuit, an ACS712 current sensor, a zero crossing detector circuit, a phase difference circuit, Arduino, and a 20x4 LCD. Monitoring on solar cells and converters that will be monitored are voltage, current, and power. While on the Inverter voltage, current, power, frequency, and power factor. The sensor circuit will be connected to Arduino and will then be displayed on the 20x4 LCD. Apart from that Arduino is also connected to a series of indicators which will be active if the monitoring result parameters are not as desired. The results of this study include parameters when the weather is cloudy and sunny as well as the working time of the solar cell. Based on the analysis after testing, it shows that during sunny weather conditions it produces a higher energy output when compared to conditions during cloudy weather. And during the day is the most ideal conditions compared to the morning and evening.
