Perancangan Turbin Vortex Sebagai Pembangkit Listrik Pikohidro
ABSTRACT
Turbine vortex is one of the picohydro power plant water turbines. There have been various studies conducted on turbines vortex, but the efficiency obtained by each researcher has a different value. So the real efficiency of the turbine vortex can not be determined. Therefore the turbine design is carried out vortex to get real efficiency. The design is carried out based on the results of measuring the discharge of water from the pump. The design begins with the initial data collection, then designing basin, then design the blade, and finally design the shaft. The results of the design are: diameter basin and the diameter of the outlet water hole is 0.4 m and 0.07 m with height basin 0.5 m. Then the upper radius and lower radius of the spoon are 0.1 m and 0.05 m with a height of 0.2 m. While the diameter of the shaft is 0.019 m. From the planning results done with a debit of 3.35 x 10-3 m3/s, the turbine power is obtained vortex 8.55 Watt and 72.2% efficiency from water power of 11.54 Watt.
