Perancangan Medical Bra Menggunakan Antena Sulam Untuk Deteksi Tumor Payudara
ABSTRACT
Tumors are the leading cause of death in all countries in the 21st century, and breast tumors are the most commonly diagnosed tumor cases, surpassing lung tumors. When malignant cells in breast tissue grow and become tumor cells, they are called breast tumors. Therefore, preventive measures through early detection of breast tumors and monitoring of breast health are needed to prevent tumor spread and reduce the risk of death from breast tumors. This study proposed medical imaging modalities of the breast that are superior to current medical imaging modalities, including mammography, ultrasound, computed tomography, and magnetic resonance imaging. The imaging technique in question is microwave imaging, which can distinguish between healthy and abnormal tissue. Antenna is the most important component in microwave imaging, as its function is to transmit microwaves and collect scattered signals from an irradiated target. The proposed antenna is a microstrip coplanar waveguide (CPW) operating at Ultra Wide Band (UWB) frequencies from 3.1 to 10.6 GHz, with a reflection coefficient less than -10 dB and a bandwidth greater than 500 MHz. Besides having a small size, the proposed antenna is fabricated on a textile substrate, namely jeans and cotton by embroidering conductor threads on the patch surface of the antenna substrate. Several simulation studies of antenna measurements bent in a radius of 40 mm, 60 mm and 80 mm on the Y and X axes have been carried out. In addition, the On-Breast and Specific Absorption Rate (SAR) antenna tests are also included in this research report.
