ABSTRACT
Permanent Magnet Synchronous Generator (PMSG) is one of the main components of a power plant that can be developed. in this PMSG design research's, the salient pole synchronous generator will be designed first, and all calculations will be done using Matlab r2013a software to acquire the best configuration and design as needed. The programming procedure is aided by Matlab software since performing the computations manually is time-consuming and exhausting. There are a number of characteristics that must be defined before the design procedure can get started, like 1500 Watts of power, 220 Volts of voltage, 16 Poles of generator, 375 RPM of synchronous speed, and 50 Hertz of frequency. To get the best salient pole synchronous generator by varying the ratio of stator core length to pole pitch flux density at the stator core (Bc) value range 1.1 - 1.3 and current density at the stator winding (cds) with a value range of which is the reference for the generator is said to be the best based on the calculation results, namely the highest efficiency (EFF) of After you have all the stator and rotor characteristics for the salient synchronous generator, you may create a permanent magnet synchronous generator (PMSG) by replacing the rotor with those values.
